I am planning on upgrading the harddrive in Macbook (still have the 60gb :( ) to a 250GB HD. Now I was wondering which brand to get? I believe that Apple delivers them with the Fujitsu harddrives?

What would you guys recommend?

Western Digital - 5 year warranty. Go for the 320GB.

Never had a problem and a bit more reliable than the Seagate 60GB drives !!

if you go on 'about this mac', then 'more info...', then on the left choose the 'serial-ATA'. it now has a load of info about the hard drive. if you google the model number you'll be able to find the manufacturer.

i think when i did mine i found it was by seagate.

on a side note, what particular brand of ram does apple use? i faintly remember someone saying micron, but i may be imaging it. and if i'm not wrong, crucial is part of the micron company, aimed at people upgrading ram themselves.

I have seen Micron, Samsung, Hynix and Nanya branded ram in MacBooks since Apple purchase from a variety of manufacturers/suppliers.
