Since all these Safari instabilities and crashes I researched all possible other ipad browsers and find out that Mercury Browser is simply the best up to date Safari replacement. Stable, full of options, quick.

What do you think, what else is good besides Safari on ipad air?

I've never used Safari on my iMac or iPad. For the iPad I use iCab with ad blocking on. It has lots of handy plugins and features.

The Atomic browser is pretty solid. I use that a lot myself without any issues. Of course, I dont have any trouble with Safari either but some people do. Its worth a try.

I am going back and forth between Safari and Chrome. I always found my self back to Safari for both my iPad Air and in my Mac. Safari might not be as good in the past, but the current version are extremely fast and with as good as Chrome or Firefox if not better. IMO: Safari is better.
