Everyone knows that Safari on iOS 8 is a bag of thorny hurt. But Apple has opened access to its Nitro JavaScript engine to other browsers.

So which browsers are supporting the new engine?
This is the only thing preventing me from updating to iOS 8.

Safari seems to work absolutely fine on iOS 8. There are plenty of things that aren't just fine, but the browser isn't one of them. It finally uses per-tab processes which should significantly improve stability.

As far as I know, no browsers yet support WKWebView (the new Web view supporting Nitro as well as a ton of other improvements.) If there is one, it must be pretty obscure. None of the more popular alternative browsers support it yet.

So…everyone is you, and you've said you haven't even upgraded to the version of iOS that has all these problems that only you are having. OK…

It is possible that the OP had installed iOS 8 for a week but decided to go back to 7.1.2 as the downgrade window was still open?
