Which cable should I buy to connect my VGA monitor through USB to my MBA?

Hi,

I've got a 2014 MBA and I have an old monitor that I want to use as a 3rd screen. I'll connect my 24" Dell monitor to the thunderbolt, so I have to use an USB cable to connect the other, old monitor.

Which cable should I buy? I did a few searches on Amazon by typing "macbook air vga usb adapter", but all I can find is products that use display port.

I think your problem is the wording of the search (pesky little search engines want everything a certain way). Use "USB display adapters" on Google, Amazon, Newegg, etc. and you should get the results that you are looking for.
