I would like to invest in a better calendar and hope to find one that can do this:

* keep all entries, forever, until I delete them
* allow search for an entry by various parameters, including the entered wording

That's all. I'm not fussy, but it bugs me that the standard calendar deletes entries that are just a few months old. Sucks. And that I can't search for entries.

I see there are tons of calendar apps out there and I can't try them all out, so I hope somebody here has an answer or two for me. Thank you!

I pocket informant which is ehat I use has those features your looking for. Been idioms using the iOS app for 2 yrs now and love it. Don't use the stock iOS app unless it's to look at the date on the home screen.

If you're syncing from your computer you can uncheck the box that says "Do not sync events older than ____ days."

There may be a setting on the phone too.
