Just purchased an unlocked/jailbroke 1st Gen. iPhone to try on my current T-Mo service. Trying to determine if I like the iPhone better than my BB Curve.

I have about three months left on my T-Mo contract.

If I do decide I prefer the iPhone, is there any compelling reason that I ought switch to AT&T when my contract with T-Mo expires. I know AT&T has a wider 3G network, but other than that, what do I give up staying with T-Mo?

I have been very happy with T-Mo service since switching to them over two years ago, but will switch back if my iPhone gives me greater functionality with AT&T.

Thanks for input in advance.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5F136 Safari/525.20)

AT&Twill definitely give you the best functinality to your iphone.
For AT&T, check your area on their website under the coverage map.
Also, be sure to be good at unlocking and jailbreaking. :)

It's definitely worth going to AT&T if you want full functionality and the 3G service!

^^ He said he got a first gen.=No 3G

Get AT&T if it isn't that much of a price difference, and you can afford it. if not. Stay with T-Mobile. I don't think it'll be that different with T-Mobile..maybe a lack of some features.

Duh. But if he sold his 1st gen he could get his money back and buy the 3G for the price of his 1st gen.

Think overall coverage, especially when traveling is better with ATT.
But T-Mob does have some lower cost plans and now the Google phone lol.
