Resolved Which charger to use for iphone6 and iPad Air 2?

I own an iPhone 6. I recently purchased an iPad Air 2 and need some information.

The charger modules (the part that the use cable plugs into) are different between the iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2. Is it safe to use the same module for both devices? If so, which one should I use, the iPhone charger or the iPad charger?

I've used the larger charger for a couple of years now on my phones with no ill effects, and you get the benefit of faster charging.
