Which color combination (mini + smart cover) will you purchase?

I'm thinking of white iPad mini with red cover or black iPad mini with dark gray cover.

Though I'll likely rip the cover apart and built my own leather and wool Smart Cover.

I'm glad you posted this. What are the purpose of the covers? Just to protect the screen when it is in a bag? Wow, I just looked at the prices.....no way I would pay that for a screen protector. It would pretty much stay on my coffee table or bed stand anyways.

White mini, pink cover. That way Dh knows it's mine! mine! mine! Plus it will match the pink case on my Macbook Pro and the pink case on my iPhone. If he's going to make fun of my apple products, i'm going to make darn sure he doesn't want to be seen carrying one!

It not only protects the screen, but will also protect the back when laying on surfaces that may scratch it. especially the black anodized mini.

I guess I feel the same way about cases for the iPad as I do for iPhones...I don't get them. I'll just buy applecare+
