I have searched everywhere on the net but have not found answers so I ask who (like me) has this beautiful monitor: which color profile do you use? Native to dci-pr or srgb?
My goal is to make the monitor equal to the display of my iphone 12 pro (which however is oled) and I think I succeeded by setting dci-p3: however the two displays remain the same only if I do not activate the true tone on the phone ...
Personally, the srgb profile seems too dark to me while the "native" profile seems to me to have too bright and unnatural colors ...

Either of you come from an iMac 5K by any chance? Trying to get a sense for how big a drop in perceived sharpness there is for text going from the iMac to the MateView 28 (which looks gorgeous btw).

I also have a Dell UP2715K, which has the same LCD, and thus size and resolution, as the iMac 5K.

Having the UP2715K at pixel-perfect 2560×1440 and the MateViews scaled to 2560×1707 side-by-side, I can definitely see a slight blurriness incurred by the scaling and lower PPI on the MateView. It's not annoying to me though, and the 3:2 aspect ratio is the game-changer even though I came from two 16:10 4K monitors. But of course everyone is different, so YMMV. :)

Update: I managed to get a calibration almost identical to that of the iPhone (obviously considering that the iPhone has an OLED display): "native" starting point (because it is the only one that allows customization); reduced contrast from 60 to 50 and then "expert" calibration with apple utility (obviously "by eye": it's not a professional job!)
With the profile I got if I select (from the monitor) the "warm" color temperature I get the same colors as Iphone with active True tone; if I select "standard" I get the same colors as the iPhone with true tone off (my room has an artificial yellow light)
In attach my profile: try it!

How does macOS automatically load profiles? What is the "MateView" profile that got automatically loaded on my machine?

Native is the best in my opinion! It's what i'm using. I do recommend calibrating with a Spyder
Which tool, and what software?

Many thanks, just installed it and I like it better than the P3 setting with native profile :) If you made any adjustments, please upload... :)
