I haven't seen this thread posted yet, so here goes, what contract will you be getting when you purchase the iPhone?.

The 35 just doesn't include enough minutes. I wished the plans were more flexible, since i don't text that often. I'd love to pay £35 for 400mins + 100txts would be ideal for me. 600 + 500 is a bit overkill for me, but it works out cheaper if I use about 400-450 mins a month.

Being a heavy texter i'll most likely go for the £55 contract, however i've heard rumors of there being a text bolt on available, so depending on if thats true and what it consists of might mean i drop to a lower tariff

I hope they do some sort of bolt-on for minutes. Id gladly pay an extra £5 for another 200-300 minutes and then drop myself down to the £35 plan!

Generally speaking I consider the O2 iPhone tariffs to be pretty poor value. However I'm on 100/100 at the moment and have survived on that for a while so the £35 is ok by me. It's the data that's drawing me to the device and O2's recent showing of common sense has pleased me.

I agree. 02's recent Data Announcement has restored a lot of peoples faith in the company.

That, and I know I'll have EDGE on the train all the way to work (and on all my main train journeys) as I've seen the announcements. There isn't 3G coverage on the same journeys....yet.

£35 - offers the right number of mintues for me at the minute, and with the EDGE I'll e-mail where I would previously have texted because of the ease.

I will be going with O2

I would be mad not to do it!

Definately going with £35 option.

200 mins and 200 texts is ample for me.

Can't wait til Friday.

Given that's not an option unless you have a US phone, you'd be mad to think you can.

1.1.2 (UK iPhone) is currently unlockable

I reckon its only a few weeks till someone finds a way to unlock it. How long did it take them to unlock 1.1.1? I can't remember, but it didn't seem that long.

£45 for me, its what I was paying before, and damn, I didn't get an iPhone then!

However, I might get the £35 one if there is £5 text bolt-on or such. :D

I followed the technical details of how the unlocking was done for 1.1.1. They were really struggling to find a way to jailbreak this time.

However, that is not to say that they won't find a way only that they might not. If they do it may take a very long time (months).

During that time I'll be fully using my iPhone :)

is that available to all new iPhone customers, or just existing O2 customers?

I will be going with the £35 plan myself. Thats how much I currently pay and I get 200 minutes and 1000 texts but only because I'm a student. I very rarely go over 200 texts per month but if I ever found that this wasn't enough I'm sure O2 wouldn't mind me upgrading to the £45 plan ;)

£35

I could do with some more texts but £35 is stretching the bank as it is.

Why they couldn't do 500 texts on all tariffs I don't know. Not like any of them are cheap.

the gap between the 35 and 45 tarriffs are extreme. It forces people up to the 35 pound one. The 35 should have a little bit more for the money.
