Which data should I save when I prepare my Mac for sale?

Hi People,

I want to sell my IMAC OSX. Could someone tell me REALLY SIMPLY (baby boomer) how to copy what I want that is important (jump drive?) and then clear everything out of the computer so my stuff isn't accessible by anyone.

You could also copy the files you want to an external HDD or USB flash memory thumb drive, maybe even the whole user folder.
