Could not open either page in Safari... sorry.

OK, got them now.
I agree, the black is much easier on the eyes.

The second design, the black one. The first one needs much more contrast between text and background to be readable. My eyes gave up trying to read it.

Camino took much more than the acceptable amount of time to load both pages, but after waiting the second design is more easy on the eyes. I prefer that one.

Hmm, I don't know if you updated this morning, but load on Safari 3.0.3 on an iMac G5/2.0 was instantaneous for both pages.

The black is much more usable as is, but I really think the color scheme of the other one is a lot of fun. I personally would consider working on understanding contrast colors and making the colorful one more legible. :) Good luck!

#1, actually. it's not better right now, but i think it has more possibilities.

but the page loading is torturous. is this being served from a home machine? on dial-up? that's off?

Na its just slow because I made it in iWeb.

I'm not so sure about that. That first time I looked at your page, it was reasonably fast. The second time, after reading more posts saying it was slow, it was fairly (but probably not tortuously) slow. I did it one more time and it was fairly fast, again. I think there's also a server load issue you're seeing.

#2 is easier to read, but it's missing colour.
#1 is just to bright, and hard to read.

#1 is hard on the eyes, #2 is nice and easy to read. Try a different color scheme in #1 but so far I like #2 much better.
