which display to buy for a mac mini?

The thunderbolt display is 3 years old, and I am getting tired of waiting for an update.

Which display is currently a good alternative?
What I like about the Apple displays are the built-in speakers and camera. I also liked that Mac OS X recognised the display and configured the color settings. I never seem to be able to match those color and brightness settings on a different displays (dell/samsung).

Screen size should be 24" or larger.

I have been giving some serious thought to the LG34UM95 and the LG34UC97. Both get good reviews on youtube.

They look nice, but 34" is gigantic.
I think I don't even have the space for that.

You might consider the lastest Dell U2415 and U2715H monitors. They are very thin bezel, IPS panels (6 and 8 bit respectively), but not glossy.
