I have a new Samsung 172x LCD Monitor with DVI-D port, and the colours are just looking really really bad with the standard VGA cable. So I'm trying to connect it to my old PowerMac G4 466 with DVI, to hopefully fix up the shocking colours..

I went out and bought a DVI-D to DVI-D cable... it fits into the Samsung monitor, but not in the Mac..!

I then realized that the DVI port on the Mac has a socket for 10 pins.

The closest cable i can find is a DVI-I cable, which looks really really similar but has 8 pins.. so don't think it will fit either.

Is anyone using an old G4 with DVI? Really need to know which cable to use. Any help would be much appreciated..
