Folks, I'm still terribly lost in the eGPU world.

There are so many eGPU enclosures options and it's such a high investment.

Razer Core (TB3)
Bizon 2s (TB2)
Bizon 3 (TB3)
Stuff from Akitio?

Could anyone steer me into the right path?

I'm thinking at first that getting one with TB3 would be more sensible for future-proofing. Not sure if it would work with the TB2 mbp, even though it should be backwards compatible.

Thoughts?

The AKiTiO Node works with all three generations of Thunderbolt equipped Macs. If you're considering a Thunderbolt 3 eGPU enclosure, the Node is my recommendation. Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt adapter will facilitate the connection between your 2015 15" MacBook Pro and Thunderbolt 3 enclosure.

For a Thunderbolt 2 eGPU enclosure, the AKiTiO Thunder2 is the most affordable and widely used option. Pair it with a Dell DA-2 power brick and put together some PCIe power cables to power the graphics card.

All right. Are these the cable+adapter combo I should get to make that setup work?
