which Elgato solution for having TV on a Mac Mini ?

Hi

I'm considering selling my boosted 21.5 iMac 2011 for getting a Mac Mini (i7, and putting a SSD myself with 8 Gb of RAM) and the ACD 27"

i was wondering if i could dump my small lcd tv and have a Elgato device connected to this Mac Mini for watching TV on my ACD ?

An EyeTV device will do what you want, but there are too many variables to simply answer your question as is.

1) Where are you located? US vs UK is a different product set.
2) Digital Cable, Sattelite or basic cable? Do you have a STB that you will be using?
3) HD or SD service?
4) Do you want DVR functionality?

Elgato makes 5 different products for the US market alone, so it's kind of hard to recommend one without any additional information.

Once you come up with your answers, the product for you should be narrowed down to 1 or 2 devices.
