Which EVGA 9800GT part # is good to flash ?

You've got about 50/50 odds on these.
Many will result in a fan running at 100% all of the time.
Just stick to EVGA 8800GT, they ALWAYS have 128K chip and they always work fine.
9800GT isn't any faster, the G92b chips used to save power in later ones use cheaper fan control, hence the Hoover noises.
BTW, I think you PM'd me, but I usually prefer answering in public as it helps other people in future.
