Which external burner is compatible with 2010 MP?

Any external DVD/CD burner that has complete Mac pro compatibility without modding kexts?
I've got an LG, but booting off it seems to be iffy at best.

I've heard a Apple usb superdrive will work if your un this terminal command.
sudo nvram boot-args="mbasd=1"
