Hi !

I recently bought a macbook and i'm in love with it, for christmas i'm looking to buy myself an external hard drive , between 120 gb and 160 gb, but i have no clue which one to buy ... !

I was looking at this model : http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=262&language=en
which holds 160 gbs, but i also realised that this hard drive could not work by itself on my laptop as it needs an external power supply.... ( WHICH I DO NOT WANT!!!)

My criterias for this hard drive are :
Portable and lightweight ( no extra cables, or power supplies)
Between 120 gb and 160gb
And something that will last me at least a couple of years if i use it normally.
It also needs to be compatible with Mac OS 10.4/.5 and Xp/Vista..!

So if you guys have any ideas, brands, or whatever , don't be shy!
Thank you!

That's a good hard drive (and doesn't require a power source).

There was also a nice Firewire portable drive I saw at the Apple Store in Orlando's Florida Mall, but I can't seem to find it on the online Apple Store for you. Basically it's the same thing, but Firewire (and doesn't need the p/s).

I've been using one of these.

No external power supply, rugged, small and reliable. Plus it has triple interface. I like it.
