I have the 2TB version of that My Passport, it has served me well so far, no issues.

I also have a 500GB My Passport Ultra, partitioned into two, 250GB for Time Machine, 250GB exFAT partition for my MBA and Windows PC, no problems with that either.

I can't speak for the Seagate drive but either will be fine, go with whatever you like the most.

same - i have the 2tb WD my passport. really like it.
 
IMO, HDD are commodity items. Buy from an outfit where if you have to return no problem, and more GB per dollar. That's it. USB3 would be the only thing I want.
 
Hi guys i'm new here on the forum and I just picked up a mba mid 2013 13 inch 2 days ago in stock spec and i was wondering which of these 2 external hard drive would be a good companion for my mba?, or if any of you guys have a better one please show me thanks:)
