I need to restore my iPhone but I don't want to use 3..0.1 - Instead, I want to stick with 3.0 which of course I can download. however, I need to know which folder in iTunes it goes in so I can restore from iTunes and not have any issues.
normally you can hold down the option button on a Mac and choose which file to restore from. but I think today's iTunes doesn't allow you to do that. instead it wants to download the firmware within iTunes itself which means it's going to download 3.0.1
so I figured if I D/L 3.0 and then place it in the correct iTunes folder then in theory that would work. so I need to know what folder to place 3.0 in....
