Hi

Can anyone point me to a FREE video converter that will:

- Work with Vista

- Enable batch conversion of small video clips from a point'n'shoot camera (permit drag'n'drop of files into program from Adobe Elements)

- Use H264 codec

- Convert to 480 x 320 for my Ipod Touch 2G

- And it would be nice if the converted files got put into iTunes automatically

I've tried Videora but it can't accept drag'n'drop files. I've 500 small files and I don't want to have to open these up one by one.

Others I've stumbled across don't use H264. Using just MPEG4 can result in files that are 2 to 3 times larger than H264. I think H264 is best.

Also, some programs don't seem to retain the proper Aspect Ratio of 4/3 that the original clips are in. Some stretch the video, and this looks odd.

Bit of a shopping list, but can anyone come up with a suggestion?

Regards

John

Handbrake doesn't seem to do batch processing of files. You also seemed to need to give a name to the output file.

All in all, a bit tedious.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

John

As far as I know, Handbrake is your best bet if you're not willing to pay.

Features like you want, all together, will cost you, as far as I know.
