Oh... that is a good idea. I thought they were issuing refunds and not store credit/gift cards?
I'd be surprised if they didn't offer that as an option. Wouldn't they rather give you store credit instead of straight money. Easier to process. Guaranteed $$ back in their pockets in which they lose less because they already make mark up on everything they sell.
Just like when the original iPhone came out at $599 and dropped $200 3 months later, they gave everyone $100 store voucher. I used mine to buy the Apple BT headset.
Good points. I would probably take the gift card then so I could go to the store and pick out a case later on when more are available.

Probably a case. I hope they have the speck candyshells. I already have two cases (one is on order), but why turn down a free case.
Fully protecting your phone... no. The back and front glass are still exposed.
They are supposedly going to have a form on their website the end of the week.
If the case I want (Speck PixelSkin HD, blue) is not part of Apple's offerings, I'll probably get a bumper (black or white).

Why would anyone want one their cheap *** bumpers? Im interested to see what kind of cases theyll offer, when they were pricing their cheap looking bumpers at $30.
I'm getting a refund for my WHITE bumper which is the bomb, and then hopefully get a SPG carbon fiber back.
Because the Bumpers are not cheap as you put it. All the 3rd party alternatives I've seen are actually quite ugly and much cheaper looking by comparison- and they don't cost any less.

Theyre just a piece of plastic that goes around the phone. How can that not look cheap? I know theyre not cheap in cost.

Looks pretty sexy on the black iPhone I think! Watched the related video on the signal not degrading at all with the bumper on too.
Depends on what the other cases are that they offer. I already have a few that I like, so I may go with a pink bumper. We'll see.
