Which Games are you playing on your Hi-End 15" 2011 MBP?

Since I'm playing from time to time i wanted to know which games you play and on which settings with which result in FPS :)

Okay to start I play:

Counter-Strike: Source on all high settings with AA 16 and all effects on high with about 40FPS.

Borderlands on all high settings with some minor lags sometimes with many enemies on the screen

all are MAC native versions
 
Lately I have played 'The Secret of Monkey Island', and it ran GREAT.
'Warcraft Orcs & Humans' - ditto. :cool:

scorpion disfigured
g-recon
and about 15 more some newer some older,with no probs at al,ive patched a few of those titles in win 7,and got my windows tweaked to the max,with a lot of modifications to services ,settings and registry,etc.

Is that the original Farcry made by Crytek? If so how does it run on the MBP?
 
Dragon Age II w/HR Graphics Pack (needs 1 Gig of Video Memory) on OS X
Dragon Age: Origins OS X


I'm not a big gamer but I have really enjoyed these. :)

DA II on OS X but my selections on bootcamp are embarrassing :$

GTA San Andreas
Discworld I & II
Loom
Planescape: Torment
Baldur's Gate I and II with all expansion packs

Of course I will be getting more modern games; because I registered my DA II as a new game I'm entitled to download Mass Effect II which I'll be doing at some point...

DA II looks amazing, and has piqued my interest

yes it is,what a great game,i missed it when it first came out,but i played far cry 2 on play station,

it has to be patched to v 1.4 i think it is,when i first installed it onto win 7 in bcamp,it was really bad,but as soon as i patched it,i can run it on very hi,but no aa,its a great game too btw,if oni they could make games like that these days,instead,a lot of em are really short and all about looks not content and storyline.but,ps i got far cry for 10$ new too,and it goes for ages,heaps of fun driving boats n jeeps etc.and wacking the trigents lol,quite funny too.
 
I beat Crysis 2 on it yesterday :)

I also have Bioshock 2 installed, I think that's next.


in OS X, I only have UT2004 and HL2:DM installed. UT2004 plays at 80FPS with everything turned all the way up at 1680x1050, and HL2:DM is flawless as well.
 
anyone play portal?! the new one!
i saw one person post im thinking about getting it, i just hope its fun and looks good. will the mbp in my sig be able to play Portal 2 on the highest settings?

Downloaded and played a bit last night, plays totally fine on high settings and native resolution.

Also been playing the latest Civ - plays very good though there is some slow down when the maps opens up but still playable.

The biggest negative to me is the fan noise when the graphics card kicks in..

by native do you mean SD or HD ?

and where did you download it? ive searched Piratebay and everywhere else..

Black and White 2 in Boot Camp, max settings, plays awesome on my 2011 17".

Really a great game, for those of you that haven't heard about it, you should definitely check it out. You play god, and you choose to be good or evil. I think that's all I have to say to explain how much fun you can have. :p
 
On OSX Side:
WoW
SC2
Portal 2
HL2 ep2

Boot Camp:
Crysis 2
Dragon Age II
Magicka


So how is DAII on OSX side? I'm using hi-res texture pack also. I find the game lags if I go too high on AF. Can go high settings on details or whatever and get a good avg of 30+FPS.
