hi,

i am looking to buy a graphics tablet to aid my design work. i do not want a cheapy one that breaks down on me. i see this as an investment i can use for many years to come.

i have looked around and they cost on average between £50 - £500.

as mentioned on this forum the wacom brand is highly recommended. there are probably more though.

can people who have a graphics tablet or know more about them suggest some possible tablets that would be a good buy for my design work.

budget is anything upto £300 odd.

thanks,

The 6" x 8" Graphire and Intuos lines from Wacom seem to be the standard. The Intuos tablets are more sensitive and can sense the angle at which you're drawing, the Graphires can't.

For serious design or art I recommend the Wacom Intuos 3 range. They have 1,024 levels of tip and eraser Pressure Sensitivity, +-60 degrees of Tilt Sensitivity and three different nib styles (the Graphire range does not have changeable nibs and is a lot less sensitive).

any more Intuos3 A4 feedback would be great.

i am looking to buy it this weekend.

thanks,
