Which handy hdd for the Air?

Hello mates, sorry for the dumb title; i am looking for a portable hard-drive which matches low-weight and great capacity. I would like to use it for TimeMachine and as a collector for movies, photos, songs and DMGs.
There are any hard drive which matches my needs at the Apple's store?!
Next question, which file-system is better to use: Fat or Apple's ?!

I can't help you with the HDD, as most mobile HDDs are 2.5", but maybe take a look at LaCie for stylish offerings.
1.8" external hdd

To decide what file system to use:

FAT32

• Read/Write FAT32 from both native Windows and native Mac OS X.
• No individual file larger than 4GB.

NTFS

• Read/Write NTFS from native Windows.
• Read only NTFS from native Mac OS X
• To Read/Write NTFS from Leopard: Install MacFUSEand NTFS-3G. You can install both with NTFS-3Gfor Mac OS X.
• To Read/Write NTFS from Snow Leopard: Guide: Enable native NTFS Read/Write in Snow Leopard
• (Be aware that some are of the opinion that enabling native NTFS in SL is unstable/unreliable, and favor the MacFuse/NTFS-3G method for Snow Leopard)

HFS

• Read/Write HFS from native Mac OS X
• To Read/Write HFS from Windows, Install MacDrive
• To Read HFS (but not Write) from Windows, Install HFSExplorer

That matches Air in design and can house up to 750GB HD.

Unless you need Windows compatibility, use HFS+ as FAT32 has file size limit of 4GB.

Thanks for reply. What about the performances between FAT and HFS under OSX? Does the FAT decrease the speed of TimeMachine or the movie playback?

Time Machine only works with HFS+

The one I linked is smaller. I have one LaCie Rugged with USB 2.0 and it's decent. The rubber protects it and it's relatively small

I saw it but i could not order from OWC due custom's fee . http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/external/freeagent/portable-hard-drive/ , this one is only 14.5mm, up to 500GB.
