My brother wants to upgrade his MBP's HDD from its (upgraded) 320GB HDD that is in it currently. I want to help him with this, as I have opened my MBP up on multiple occasions. I have the same MBP as him (see sig), and our MBP's were purchased at the same time. I recently upgraded my HDD from its (also upgraded) 320GB drive to a 500GB Hitachi Travelstar 7k500. Which hard drive should he get? Since he wants to get a hard drive with at least 640GB, I was considering the Samsung Spinpoint 640GB drive. It is on sale this weekend for USD$74.99 using promo code: EMCZZZN44. He could also get the 750GB Western Digital Scorpio Blue drive, which is not on sale, and fairly expensive. Any other suggestions? I have a Microcenter that is about 10min away from me, so I can go there if necessary. But, I have heard that Newegg is a great (read: cheap) supplier for electronics. I bought my Hitachi Travelstar 7k500 500GB drive there, and couldn't be happier. Yes, I know about the issue where HDAPM is required on some drives, and I am using it on my 7k500.

Also, he wants a 5400rpm drive, not a 7200rpm (for one reason: the price).
Edit: Just realized that the Samsung Spinpoint is 7200rpm. For that price, it is a great drive!
