Which HD for MBP?

Hi all,

How big is the advantage of having the 7200rpm HD in the MBP? Does it create a lot of extra heat? I am one who does use my notebook on my lap from time to time.
Is the increase in HD speed that big of an advantage? I know its better having a faster HD, but does it create extra heat and use more battery life?

depends on what your using the computer for. for video and photo editing it might be a good idea to upgrade. if not, you probably won't notice a difference
