Is there a difference in HDD enclosures other than the connection types? I have a 500gb 5400rpm hitachi hdd i want to put into an enclosure.

I was looking at:
Acomdata Tango Pro 2.5-inch USB 2.0 Firewire 400 and 800 Portable Enclosure for SATA Hard Drive TNGXXXUFBE-BLK (Black)

or

2.5-inch eSATA, FireWire 800/400, USB External Enclosure (Oxford 924) by Oyen Digital

Are these options ok...is the firewire connection overkill and USB 2.0 fine?

i've been looking at the Acomdata for a while and have decided it's time to buy one. The Oyen is nice but you are paying for an eSata connection that would be overkill for a laptop drive.

Even a 5400rpm drive is bottlenecked by usb 2.0 and firewire 800 would definately speed things up and many Mac Mini users use external FW800 drives to boot from.
