So I’m looking for an iPhone 12 Pro screen protector and can’t decide which one to get and looking for opinions and pros and cons to each.

I have the option of the Zagg screen protector for $40 installed, but the thing that bothers me about this one is that it doesn’t protect the sensors and cameras at the top.

There’s also the option for the Torras screen protectors that are bubble free, cover the hole front with a cut out for the earpiece, and a black border around the outside to prevent that dreaded halo.

Just looking to find out what everyone’s thoughts are on each of these styles.

I’m going to the Apple store and getting the Belkin put on mine. I have one on my XR, broke it once and it peeled once and they sent replacements both times.

I was a Zagg customer since their inception, having purchased hundreds of film protectors for phones, tablets and laptops (personal and business use). Their poor business model and costs drove me away.
After testing several other phone screen protectors, I can confidently say that the Torras is exceptional. I used Torras for the life of my 11 Pro Max and never had an issue..until the phone was dropped. The screen protector cracked, but no damage to the phone itself.
Torras includes 2 or 3 protectors per pack, depending on the phone model. I’m a Torras user for life based on 12 months of use!!

I a a big fan of the Flolab ones. They are really great.
Because I was bored I also ordered the Shellrus Sapphire Screen Protector. It was 70$ but I heard a lot of good things about it. I know it is expensive but the phone wasn`t cheap either. It should arrive by the End of this Month.

ESR. Full screen coverage, easy to install. Cheap.
I purchased this one based off of MR recommendations for my iPhone 12 Mini. We shall see how it is.

I want one of the sapphire glass ones, but $70 is tough to swallow when I can just replace the cheap glass ones every 6 months.

Happy with my Spigen EZ fit glass screen protector. Installation was a breeze and alignment was 100% perfect!

I need to get screen protector for 12 Pro (Gold) and I was wondering how scratch prone stainless steel gold edge is if using screen protector that comes with aligment tool? They often seem to clip rather hard on the edges of the phone and I'm worried they might scratch new phone right away.

I was considering Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass Screen Protector like this:
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Spigen+Glas.tR+EZ+Fit+Tempered+Glass&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

Anyone experience with that how hard it clips on the sides and does it make scratches or marks?
Also suggestion if some other would be safer solution?
I have before installed screen protectors free hand and I can get them positioned right, but it usually takes so long that there will be even more dust underneath it, so I was thinking maybe something with aligment tool would help.

Besides Belkin from Apple Store, Best Buy one is my 2nd favorite...it is what i have now on 12 PM. I have the Spigen (from Amazon) on my wife's 11 PM...am not impress. Sharp edges and cracks easily.

Just get BB one ($20 for 2 with install frame)...if you want go expensive, then get the Apple Store Belkin.

No issue with Spigen nor Best Buy frame scratching frame. Once you go with these alignment tools, you won't go back to free hand install!

I forgot to mention, I'm in EU area, so no BB stores here.

I was under impression Spigen tempered glass it good quality but obviously I have understood wrong. They do not have rounded edges even? Previously I have bought cheap no name tempered glass for like 1 euro a piece and even those has well rounded edges!

Belkin is available here but to me it looked like aligment frame is clipped pretty hard on the phone and also that you actually put the alignment frame first and they apply screen in the "guide" so much more time and possibility for dust to enter on the screen before getting it installed. Also if some dust lands on the screen after you put alignment frame on, it would be rather hard to wipe it away. So that's why Spigen looked like nice solution where you actually place the alignment frame with the screen protector at the same time.

How hard Spigen alignment frame is clipped on the phone? Or does it clip at all?
Is Spigen glass decent in terms of clarity and fingerprints?
I mean I usually handle my phones so carefully that I don't think cracking would be so big issue with me if they are not the kind that cracks already during installation?

I definitely would not like to do free hands installs anymore. Last time it took me like 5-6 screen protectors until I managed to get it installed without dust under it perfectly alignment. It took like few hours. :D

I don't mind the notch. It's been fine with my X and I rather not covers those sensors and cameras anyway to avoid any quality issues with them.

The Spigen is perfect. I have no interest in covering the notch causing reflections and interference with the camera and signals.

edit: I just repeated someone else's thoughts...

Spigen one has round edges but the one from Best Buy just feels better. (I am only talking about Spigen that is on my wife's 11 PM...not sure if the newer ones are better.)

The Spigen frame is just an overlay over your phone. It does not "clip" anything on your phone. No worries there!

Thanks for confirming Spigen is good. I also do not want to cover the notch for those reasons.

Good to hear that about frame and thanks for confirming it. Looking at the product photos it also looked to me like there was no actual clips, so that is a big plus then and probably no change to scratch anything with it.

Did you notice any issues with the clarity or fingerprint resistance in Spigen?

Clarity and fingerprint resistance are EXCELLENT with Spigen!!! Finger print resistance is BETTER than my Best Buy protector that i have now. So, you’re good to go on that!

Just FYI...Spigen stays on even with washing your phone. I am pretty sure all are OK with water, but just wanted to point that out because i have washed my wife’s 11 PM with water. :)

Thanks for confiming that. I hated that cheap no name tempered glass installed on my X because it had terrible fingerprint resistance and it was almost impossible to clean as grease on it just kept spreading. It was such a pain to install I never got around changing it to better, so this time I want to make sure I put good one right away. Also clarity on the one I use now it not that good.
