Answer the poll.

If you have not pre-ordered, but you plan to get one on launch day, then answer the poll saying which model you are hoping to get.

If you ordered more than one iPhone 5, answer about the one that you plan to use as your own personal phone.

You can post your answer too, if you want.

I ordered a black 64 GB iPhone 5. My current iPhone 4S contains 33 GB of music and 1 GB of apps, plus the OS, so it only has 22 GB free. I plan to make good use of the space.

Me: 16GB Black.
Brother: 16GB Black.
Mom: 16GB White.

Got orders in 10 minutes before they back ordered.

This is damn hard.. I've always gone with the black model, I had the iPhone 3G Black, moved to HTC / Google Nexus One and Android for about one month until I rushed out and got myself a iPhone 3GS Black, then I got a iPhone 4 Black which I'm still using, so I was prepared for the white model for a change with the iPhone 5.

But damn that black model got class written all over it. I love how Apple have anodized the rim and the back making it look really, really slick. On the other hand I also love the white version, it feels more fresh and comes with the classic aluminium look to it which I also fancy quite a lot.

What if I scratch that lovely anodized black aluminum? Will the silver / grey aluminium show right through? If that is the case I'm somewhat afraid of how my iPhone 5 in black would look after a while as I don't plan on having any protection on it whatsoever.

Statistical analysis update

With a total of 46 votes cast, I performed a 2x3 Fisher's exact test to see if the buyers of white phones prefer different sizes than the buyers of black phones. Result:

Two-tailed p-value: 10%

At the moment, it seems that color preference is not correlated with size preference.

Early days, I know, but it's quite interesting that the numbers for black/white are RELATIVELY even, until you look at the 64GB model.

Statistical analysis update

With 64 votes cast:

Black and white (all sizes) are equally popular (p = 20%). Although black has a few more votes, it is not significantly more popular.

Statistical analysis update

With 66 votes cast:

Size preference is not significantly correlated with color preference. Two-tailed p = 8.5% by Fisher's exact test, two-tailed p = 8.9% by the chi squared test.

16GB Black & Slate. Was thinking 32GB, but I still have 4GB left on my 16GB 4S. Also, I had to pay $489 for the 16GB, no full upgrade. Blah.

My statistics knowledge is pretty sketchy, but with a sample size this small, isn't it REALLY hard to have differences big enough to demonstrate significance using those tests?
