I've unfortunately misplaced the stock earphones that came with my phone, so I'll have to find a new pair. To start, the stock earphones weren't that good anyway (barely over average) so I thought I might as well get a nice pair this time around. My price cut-off is around ~$100, and I need them to be compatible with iPhone 3G, as well have answer call/pause/next or previous song controls.

I've narrowed my choices down to two nice pairs of earphones, but I need your opinion on which you'd recommend. (Please don't recommend any others unless they're amazingly better. And also don't recommend large ones, I want in-ear ones.)

1. Sennheiser Headset
2. V-Moda Headset

Both seem to have exceptional reviews, but I'm not sure which one to purchase. Thanks!

I have the Sennheiser MM50s and they've worked great for me. When I was researching the v-modas it turned out they have a lot of quality issues.

wait

wait until the new apple headphones come out this month before you make a decision.

Are they really supposed to be that good? :\

They're supposed to be great--but they are only meant for the ipod touch. The iphone isn't listed as a compatible device.

I have a similar Sennheiser model. They are amazing (mine are about the same but they don't have the mic + button).

Apple lists them as compatible on their site. :)

I *believe* he is talking about the Apple in-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic. They are $79 and listed as "coming soon" and do not list the iphone. Apple makes other in-ear headphones--perhaps those are the ones you are seeing?

Okay, any other ideas? Should I wait out the new apple headphones? Will they be that good? :/

If you care to look in the iPhone Accessories section just below this one in the forum, you'll find about a gazillion threads about headphones... ;)

I've had the V-Moda's for quite a while, they sound great, have had no problems with them great sound and bass. I do hear great things about the Senns though !
