iPhone SE (2016) Which iPhone SE color do you prefer and why?

Personally, i prefer the black.
I always go for space grey, so black is the next best (better) think. The reason I prefer it is I always use the black Apple leather case and any other colour looks weird in the camera cut out or you get the bottom of the phone exposed in the case and you then have the black screen and the frame colour (red or silver) in between the case, where as the black just provides a more stealth appearance.
That’s just my own reasoning, it calms my phone OCD

I’ve had a fully black iPod touch, a black face with silver back iPod touch & iPod NaNo from wayyyyy back. And, of course, the original iPad.
I moved towards white as I became more “current”. I have the Rose Gold with white face iPad mini 5 (not that you can tell the colour due to the case), and my original SE was white with the gold back (which looked odd with the white above and below the gold.
I guess I may have been swayed by a gold colour if the new SE had such a thing, but I don’t know. I was ready for a change.
Normally I don’t do “bold colours” but the red back/black front of the SE had me looking twice. The white & black models just felt too “normal”. Too much like “been there, done that”. The RED was a marker for me that kind of drew a line in the sand under those white & black models of the past.
Also, the red/black has a bit of a Magnum P.I. thing going on in my eyes. Can’t get much cooler than that. Lol.
Absolutely no regrets.
Oh, and that it also has a bit of COVID-19 support is also something that appealed to me right now - but that was the icing on the cake, it wasn’t the whole cake.

If I was purchasing one i'd go with the white looks clean and classy.

The white looks incredibly sleek and classy. Love the contrast of the black front and bright white back.

So I chose the PRODUCT(RED) version, which would be a change of pace for me. My top priority is to get a black face plate; that is no concern on the SE, since all of them have black fronts. My favorite color is blue (I had a blue 5c which was my favorite iPhone!), but I think if the option were blue body with a white front I would pass, so I conclude that that's my top priority. With the new SE, I'm going to put a case on anyway, so it didn't matter THAT much. It had been a few years since I had a colorful phone (the only original SE with a black front was the Space Gray), so I liked the red.
Then there's this: my new case for the SE is a real baseball leather one, with stitches...

...so I thought the red would be a complementary color that matched the stitches. A white phone might have furthered the illusion better, but as the case aged and the white got worn in, the visible phone bits would match less and less well: I figured the red would have a better chance of matching the stitches for far longer.
(Actually, in our household, my partner's color is red, she loves it. There was no PRODUCT(RED) in the original SE, which is what she has. I actually approached her and got her blessing.)

They are all beautiful, but I loved the red so much, I finally kissed a darker color iPhone goodbye. The instant donation to Covid 19 research made it even easier to choose the red.

the back is ridiculously clean, I love the black front glass makes it feel like a black phone, the silver sides on my leather case that shows the bottom. can be dressed up and concealed or shown off with a clear case. same can be said with the red, but white goes with practically anything.
Reminds me of 6/6s space grey days, and 3g/3gs white back black front days.

Me too. Not that I’m intending to buy, but if this were the only model, I’d pick that colour.
Pretty pleased with my white. Since it has the black front, I ordered a white/black checked case from Loopy. It's not leopard like my current one that I LOVE, but I think it'll look good!
PS - I didn't think the leopard would look good with the stark white peeking out. If I would've done black, I'd have gotten another leopard Loopy.

I bought all three and White looks best to me. Very elegant. Black was kinda meh while Red was a bit too bright for my taste. I prefer deeper shades of red like on the iPhone 8.
I normally go for Space Gray or Black because black bezels are a priority but in this case, all bezels are black anyway.

I'm the same way. All I need is an all-black front. My last white phone was the 3G because it was white on the back but black on the front and now I finally feel like I can have a white phone again.
