which do u like better? does the black make watching videos more enjoying, tell me which will REALLY be worth the money...and attract attention

I don't know if either black or metal would attract attention.. both are pretty standard in electronics. I'm going with the silver one to fit my MacBook Pro and WD MyBook Pro =) Some people will go with black since they want all their electronic products in black if possible. Previously, black iPods have been mostly attractive for people who dislike the white design, I don't know how that group of people will react to the silver one vs. black...

I'm part of those that didn't like the white ipod....looked to cheesy or cheap to me so I went with the black...gonna upgrade it to a black classic here soon too. And by the way, though I hate the white ipods, i love my white macbook :D

I Like The Black One

I don't have the new classic but I find watching video on something that is not black to be kind of annoying. I love my black 5g, it's nice in the dark cause you don't see the white rim from the light. Also, I don't think the change from white to silver will make that many people to want to switch from black. There's a reason that it outsold the white model.

Get the one that matches your computer best!!!:D

For example I'm getting an 8GB iPod Nano in silver to go well with my Macbook. (I know White and silver aren't the same but they go well together!);)

The new black Classic and Nano are a bit odd looking. I had expected to like the black Nano best, and it turned out I liked it the least. Wound up with the silver, though I loved the teal and green too, and I preferred the silver Classic even though I love the black 5.5G.

I'm interested to see how the black wears.

Is it a thing paint that will chip or flake? Is it a resiliant paint that will give way to silver in deep scratches? Or is it some sort of magical black metal that will always remain black?

The black 5.5G is far better than the white for watching video and simply looks better, imo, but the silver looks pretty cool.
I'd like to see comparison pictures of the classic, though.

For me the choice was clear...

I'm pretty sure the aluminum is anodized, so I don't think the paint will chip or flake.
