Which is best for iphone 3gs unlock?

Hi im new here and my iphone 3gs arrives tomorrow. I was all set to jailbreak it and unlock it using redsn0w and ultrasn0w but i have been told to use purplera1n. So im just wondering which is easiest and best to use.

Except that purplera1n doesn't work on 3.0.1, unless they fixed it today and I didn't know about it.
