Just wondering if anyone had an opinion on this. I just bought a 60 GB iPod that came with USB2 (seems to be slow) and am wondering if I should switch it out with my old 10 GB iPod firewire plug. Are there any downsides to doing that? What are the advantages of USB2? Which is better: Firewire or USB2?

on your current powerbook (the 867mhz one) definitely firewire, because that machine only has usb 1.1 (11mbps!!) and even on the new ibook firewire will be faster, despite usb2's faster "rated" speed.
