I just got a notification from my phone on my Mac and as usual I grabbed it to view it, that's faster than waiting for my Mac to connect to my iPhone with the mirroring app.

Using the phone will be faster. Mirroring can be more convenient depending on where your phone is in relation to your Mac.

Overall I almost never use mirroring on my Mac since my phone is always close by.

I like the notifications coming in on the Notification Centre on the Mac, There I can quickly see the content and even just clear certain notifications (from Mac and iPhone) for the ones which don't require further action from me without picking up the iPhone.

The notification is right there on the Mac 🧐

Unless you mean pulling up the APP that made the notification; that's faster using the phone alone of course.
