Hello, considering to buy an iPad Air. Is there an app that is 100% compatible with Microsoft Office? Although Apple mentioned that one could import PowerPoint and Word files to Keynote and Pages respectively, they are often issues when doing so.

Pages and Keynote seem to offer the best for Office Documents in terms of retaining the original document formatting and layout. They a far from perfect though, but after trying loads of other apps I simply can't find anything better.

I am hoping 2014 brings an official MS Office App to iOS, that would be amazing!

QuickOffice. Free from Google and syncs through Drive.

CloudOn is a great app for working with MS Office files. They have a fully functional free version and a pay version with some more advanced features.

Those are good suggestions and one may fill the OP's needs. However, there isn't a "100% compatible" app for Microsoft Office (Windows version) for any Apple device including the Mac.
