Hey there!

I will soon go to study abroad in the US so I've been wondering which carrier has the best and fastest 3G and the best coverage for Orange County, California.

I currently have an GSM iPhone 4S.

Thanks guys!

Most will say it all depends on where you live. I must say that I feel AT&T could have better coverage but I won't switch. Firstly, they are cheaper than Verizon. Second, FAN discounts (in my case) have been a higher percentage on AT&T. Furthermore, even though I don't use it that much, the fact that you can't talk and use data simultaneously on Verizon is yet another deal breaker.

4s?

doesn't that mean that it can be gsm and CDMA? i prefer verizon, and live close to orange county (north san diego county) and Verizon works great. i havent had a problem with speed or service here.

Your only choice is AT&T or a MVNO(WHich uses AT&T)Verizon wont activate your 4S(CDMA)

The reason AT&T is the best is because I used to have Cingular and now they're AT&T. Wait, that doesn't make any sense....

Agreed. Cingular used to suck, for me. And, technically, isn't it at&t?:D

To the op, I'd go with at&t. Less hassle. Just my opinion.

Thanks guys!

So it will be AT&T...

Now I've been reading that iPhones have issues when using AT&T's prepaid plans.

I plan to have a prepaid SIM Car ($10 cents plan) and get a data plan (which is $15 dollars for 250 MB) and use it as a GoPhone.

What would you suggest me? I don't talk a lot by phone but I do use data a lot, I've seen their postpaid plans and are quite pricey for what I'm going to use.
