I'd take the air. Double the SSD space. That to me is the dealbreaker in my mind.

no - but your post doesn't not specifically say its a 13" Macbook Pro Retina. He assumed you were talking about a classic MBP which has a lower res than the Air.

I would go for the MacBook Pro without an SSD and then buy a third party SSD. The MacBook Pros still seem to offer better value for money over the Air. The extra size and weight really hasn't been an issue for me.
