I am looking for a sure way to transfer data without bringing the bugs of old iPhone to the new one. I don’t mind doing all the settings and downloading apps all over.

Every iPhone I get, I set up as new and re-download all of the apps that I want. It’s a pain in the butt, but I re-sign into all of them but I sign into the apps when I need to use them so that I don’t overwhelm myself. I have almost 500 apps installed on my phone so it would take hours to do that. I do an iCloud backup of health, messages, photos, notes, calendar, reminders, drive, contacts, calls, Mail, Home and passwords, which are the only things I download to my phone from iCloud.

So I set up the new iPhone as new and choose download from iCloud? This way no bugs will be carried over via data?
