I have updated my 1st generation iphone to the latest firmware version (2.2?). This caused me to loose my unlock/jailbreak. I have update my itunes as well to 8.0 version. I have tried downloading quickpwn, won't open on my mac. I found somewhere that it was recommended that I uninstall itunes 8.0 and then reinstall itunes 7.7v. First of all, I don't know how to uninstall itunes 8.0 and it kind of scares me to do so.
I also tried using ziphone to unlock but realized only after I updated my iphone to the latest version that ziphone does not yet have an unlock/jailbreak version yet of the update.

Would if I reinstall an earlier version of the iphone firmware (I did download 2.0 from iphonefire, but cannot open app to install) and try all over again...

Any help and guidance would be so appreciated!!
