Ok I need some hdtv advice....

I currently have a macbook (blackbook) and I want to purchase an 26'' lcd HDTV to use with it. I've gotten different opinions from different people so I'm trying to figure out what specifications, exactly, I should be looking for in my new purchase (i.e. do I care if it's 720 or 1080i? ideal resolution?).

Some people have mentioned that my picture quality will not be so great but I'm under the impression that I can achieve a really good picture if I use DVI (or VGA?). any thoughts?

i'm the kind of person that will buy the completely wrong tv and not be able to return it and then get beaten for being the red headed step child, so I appreciate any advice, thanks!

What is your price ramge? Is this just for movies/games? If you want it as a monitor, stay away from the TVs, as the resolution is lower. In fact, you might do better just getting a 24" monitor and being able to do both.

I just got the Vizio VMM26 from costco for $399

it has 1920x1200 glossy 26" display that matches the new macs. I am pretty happy with it.
