Just wondering if anyone is using a newsreader, preferably one which supports NZBs, under Leopard? I've been using iGrabnews until today, but can't get the latest version to work under Leopard.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Do any OS X newsreaders have an auto-extract function, like Newsleecher for Windows, which will automatically unzip any zipped binaries you download?

Got Igrabnews working in Loepard!

Version 1.2.1 build 110 is working for me.
It is not as responsive as it should be once the download begins, but they all complete with no errors.

I also use NetNewsWire for the iPhone sync feature, but NewsFire looks like a good reader for someone who doesn't require that feature.

Is it possible to have Google reader feeds streamed/synced to a desktop client? I ask b/c sometimes I'd prefer to have them available like in NetNewsWire in case I'm away from an Internet connection and I want to catch up on news feeds.

I'm looking to change from Newsgator b/c I'm fed up with their web UI...

You're talking about two different things; The OP was talking about binary Usenet clients not RSS newsreaders such as NetNewsWire.

For binary Usenet downloads i use SABnzbd+, which is a free, open-source application written in Python and with a GUI that runs in the browser. I think it's the best binary Usenet client on OSX.
