Which Mac is the easiest to resell?

Ok so basically I had to return a computer to Best Buy a while ago without a receipt... so they gave me $1528 worth of store credit. I'm thinking of buying a brand new Mac and selling that for maybe $50 less to recoup the rest of the cash and was wondering which one I should buy to resell. Is the 13" the most popular now or will a 15" be better?

Considering that the new MacBook Pros just came out and there are no refurbished models yet, I'd go for one of them. You'll take the least amount of less with one of those.

Get the cheapest stock 13" ... it might not recoup all your cash, but you'll get most of it back.

Agreed. I've had 3 base MBP 13" never had an issue selling them for my asking price.

Or sell your Gift card and make most of your money back.

I had to do exactly the same thing about 1 year ago.

to make the buyer (a random person from craigslist) feel comfortable, I explained the entire situation, we met at the best buy store and I let her accompany me in line when I bought it with the gift card.

I gave her the 15" MBP and she gave me the cash as soon as we checked out, and I let her keep the receipt in case she needed it for something.
