Apple sources displays from multiple manufacturers. So 2 supposedly identical models can have completely different displays, it's basically the luck of the draw. When I purchased my white MacBook, there were no less than 3 different displays that could have been in it IIRC. Unfortunately for me, I got the worst of the lot.

Well that sucks... Can you just keep returning it until you get the one with the best display?
