Which Mac machine or Custom PC for Adobe&C4D

I'm seeking advice as a current Macbook Pro 15" (late 2011) user... planning to upgrade my machine...

Any ideas for the high end Macbook Pro or iMac will do justice for Final Cut Pro, Adobe & C4D performance?

Or should I just switch to Windows?

Been reading some threads regarding iMac isnt power enough for VFX, 3D.. (workable and barely)
