Currently looking at getting a new laptop (upgrading from a 2014 13" Macbook Pro) and I can't decide between the base model 15" Pro or the higher tier version. The higher tier is roughly $430 more expensive than the base model but you get double the storage, a slightly faster processor (2.6ghz vs 2.2ghz), and a slightly better video card.

The two main programs that I will be using on the laptop will be Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop (ideally both at the same time, I need to be able to use photoshop while a video is exporting in Premiere Pro). I do not have any interest at all in Final Cut Pro since I mainly use Premiere on my PC while at home and I only need this device for travel (windows laptops are not an option either).

Will there be a significant performance boost in the higher end model (to justify spending $430 more, on an already expensive device). Storage space is more of a convenience since I can always use external drives. Is 16gb of ram going to be enough to run Premiere and Photoshop at the same time?
