Which Macbook should I buy with the new release so close?

I am debating purchasing either a $1599 refurbished Macbook Pro Retina 15 inch or a $1479 2013 Macbook Air 13 with the 1.7 Ghz Core i7, 8 GB of ram, and the 256 GB SSD.


I will be selling this computer that I choose in October when the new Macbook Pro models come out. I want to wait but I need a new Macbook now.

What would you all recommend based on me having to sell it in October or earlier?

Why not look for a secondhand Haswell Air. Will still be current gen and will probably get roughly the same price you buy it when you sell it.

Ebay would be ruled out because I need something in the next 3-4 days and there are no Haswell Airs on the refurbished store yet.

Have you tried Craigslist or Best Buy open box?

I don't trust Craig's list and best buy open box is more than my education discount. I am really looking for which one would have a larger resale value when the new models come out.
