Which macbook should I get?

I currently have a Dell Inspiron but I'm looking to get a new Apple Macbook, I just haven't decided which kind yet. I'm on a tight budget so the cheaper the better. Obviously, I have been looking at buying a used white macbook because they're the cheapest macbooks that still seemed to be used fairly regularly. Would it be worth buying a classic white Macbook or would I be wasting my money because it won't last very much longer? Would it be better for me to buy a Macbook air or pro? Keep in mind, I'm trying to save money.
